New Products / Promotion

Rules & Regulations:

1. This cooking competition is only opened for Umami Zone members
     (if you are not Umami Zone member, please click here to sign up),
     spaces limited to 24 contestants.
2. There are 4 categories for this competition:
      (a) Vegetable Cream Soup with "VONO"
      (b) "SERI-AJI" Yummy Fried Rice
      (c) Appetizing Seafood / Chicken / Mutton / Beef with "TUMIX"
      (d) Lower Calorie "Pal Sweet" or "Slim-Up" Dessert (hot/cold)
3. Each participant is allowed to take part in only one of the category
4. All dishes must be fully HALAL.
5. All ingredient and basic cooking equipment will be provided during the
    competition
6. Time allotted for cooking will be 1 1/2 hours. All participants should be
    set up by 10am.
7. Four Contestants from different categories will be grouped together
    in a same mobile kitchen.
8. This is an individual cooking competition but team work is very much
    appreciated.
9. This competition is free of charge and fully sponsored by Ajinomoto
    (Malaysia) Berhad.

How to Participate:

1. Download the application form as attached.
2. Which category of the cooking competition you would like to take part
    and fill in the application form.
3. Create one recipe according to your chosen category.
4. Your recipe entry can be written in Malay, English, or Chinese
5. Only your original recipe which is completed with all ingredients
    (including Ajinomoto products that being used) and the preparation
    process will be accepted.
6. You are most welcome to combine other ‘Ajinomoto’ products with the
    proposed one in your recipe
7. Please complete the application form along with your proposed recipe and
    send to Ms Cindy Chan before 23 November 2009 through:
        i. Email to corporate@ajikl.com.my or
        ii. Fax to 03-7981 1731 or
        iii. Post to Lot 5710, Jalan Kuchai Lama, Petaling, 58200, Kuala Lumpur.
8. All submitted recipes will be screened through. If your recipe has been
    selected, our personnel will contact you and you will be invited to D’Umami
    Station in Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad to do hands-on cooking according to
    the selected recipe on 12 December 2009.

Judging Procedure:

1. Food will be presented to a team of three (3) judges.
2. Judging will be scored according to:
        • Presentation of Dish (15m)
        • Texture/Tenderness (20m)
        • Taste (25m)
        • Product Applications (10m)
        • Personal/ Working Area Hygiene (10m)
3. The judges’ interpretations and decisions of the cooking competition are final.

Category A - Vegetable Creamy Soup with ‘VONO’
1st Prize: RM 100 + Trophy + AJINOMOTO Hamper
2nd Prize: RM 80 + Trophy + AJINOMOTO Hamper
3rd Prize: RM 60 + Trophy + AJINOMOTO Hamper
Consolation Prizes: (AJINOMOTO Hamper) x 3

Category B - ‘SERI-AJI’ Yummy Fried Rice
1st Prize: RM 100 + Trophy+ AJINOMOTO Hamper
2nd Prize: RM 80 + Trophy + AJINOMOTO Hamper
3rd Prize: RM 60 + Trophy + AJINOMOTO Hamper
Consolation Prizes: (AJINOMOTO Hamper) x 3

Category C - Appetizing Seafood/Chicken/Mutton/Beef with ‘TUMIX’
