In order to create a better tomorrow, Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad had set up a section called "SALAM" in year 1985. It is to manage issues related to environmental mainly on the effluent from processes and other waste produced from the operation.

"SALAM" is actually a brief word from "Sistem Ajinomoto Lindungi Alam Malaysia" which had focused on controlling environment aspect to ensure the significant impact on our environment is minimized or within legal requirement.

In year 2006, Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad had successfully obtain ISO 14001:2004 certification from SIRIM QAS. A series of management programmes had been put in place to ensure our proactive involvement towards environment sustainability
