  • • Malaysia's 1985 Food Acts and Regulations as a "Permitted Flavour Enhancer"
  • • US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) - classified MSG under the
       "Generally Recognized as Safe" (GRAS) category
  • • Joint Expert Comittee on Food Additives (JECFA) - (JECFA is a scientific advisory
       body to the World Health Organization (WHO) and Food and Agriculture Organization
       of the (FAO) United Nations, declared the "Acceptable Daily Intake" (ADI) for MSG to
       be "not specified" in 1987)
