Healthy Living Can Taste So Great
Ajinomoto (M) Berhad Homemaker Educational Program
Kuala Lumpur, 6 December – Good health starts from food. This is the reason why Ajinomoto Group is actively encouraging “Eat Well, Live Well”. By gaining proper healthy diet tips, we can maintain our body’s everyday functions, promote optimal body weight and prevent chronic disease.
With that in mind, Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad proactively plays its role with the objective to promote healthy living through the enjoyment of deliciousness by organising educational campaign relating to healthy diet, namely “Makanan Lazat, Kehidupan Sihat”.
Started in 2012, this campaign has reached its 6th year in a row in Malaysia, targeting residential areas at the outskirt region as to educate and increase the awareness of healthy balanced diet especially the homemaker group who may have less access to the knowledge of food nutrition. Stretching from October to December this year, the roadshow route mainly covers small towns in Johor and Pahang.
Adhering to the Ajinomoto Shared Value (ASV) initiatives that promote healthy living, this year we further enhance the communication message with the aims to tackle the issue of poor vegetable intake among Malaysians particularly the children by sharing the importance of well-balanced diet and tips of making low sodium yet delicious meal through Umami applications. Throughout the 20 events in plan, the participants learn the healthy balanced diet tips through knowledge sharing sessions and also a live cooking demonstration that showcases the proper way of cooking 3 well-balanced yet delicious dishes which are Assorted Vegetables Soup, Special Yong Chow Fried Rice and “Sayur Campur Berkuah” with fried egg tofu. Further adding delights to the excitement, the participants are served with the 3 demonstrated dishes and guided to experience the wonder of Umami through a cherry tomatoes tasting session.
This roadshow campaign is a successful collaboration between Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad, the local community, leader of the village and local association as well as all participating non-governmental organisations. Hand in hand, together we offer a better and healthier living to our next generations.
