KUALA LUMPUR, 22 April 2025 — Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad (AMB) proudly participated in the Sustainable Food Camp 2025 (SFC 2025), held at Resorts World Awana, Genting Highlands. Organised by Sustainable Food Asia (SFA), the event served as a dynamic kick-off platform to unite Asia as one team—bringing together multinational corporations, start-ups and innovators to co-create scalable solutions for a sustainable global food future. 

Under the theme “Future Foods: Innovating Today, Sustaining Tomorrow”, the camp turned bold ideas into actionable strategies across three key pillars: Environmental Improvement, Health Access and Social Responsibility.

The camp was officially opened by His Excellency Mr. Noriyuki Shikata, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, and featured an engaging line-up of panel discussions, product showcases, pitch sessions, roundtable dialogues, project launches, and an awards ceremony — all centred on sustainable food innovation.

As a strategic partner, AMB introduced the theme ‘Deliciousness Technology: Contributing to the Creation of Happiness of People Worldwide’ through an interactive booth highlighting science-driven food innovations. The booth featured the concept of “Kokumi” — a taste sensation that enhances impact, mouthfulness and continuity — demonstrated through tasting kits with Ajinomoto’s Kokumi-enhancing solution. 

In response to rising health concerns such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, AMB also showcased Seri-Aji®, demonstrating how it brings joy to everyday cooking by enabling delicious, quick and convenient meal preparation. The booth also featured AJI-NO-MOTO®’s Smart Salt Reduction initiative, which highlights how ‘Umami’ can reduce sodium without compromising on taste and supporting healthier eating habits.
