Ajinomoto Continues To Be Main Sponsor of The Nutrition Month

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 November 2020 – With more than 100 years’ history, Ajinomoto is a brand that has been trusted for generations. Its expertise in the amino science technology has allowed its continuous contribution to the health and well-being of the society. This year, Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad once again takes on the role as the main sponsor for the Nutrition Month Malaysia (NMM) 2020 while promoting the “Healthy Eating, Active Living” in-line with this year’s theme, “Invest in Healthy Nutrition: Eat Right, Get Moving!”.

The NMM programme was founded in 2002 by three leading professional bodies: the Nutrition Society of Malaysia (NSM), the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association (MDA) and the Malaysian Association for the Study of Obesity (MASO), with the objective to increase awareness on healthy eating and active living through distribution of honest and practical nutrition information nationwide.

While efforts are tireless, healthy eating continues to be an issue in Malaysia as many still do not consume sufficient vegetables despite their well-known health benefits. As an advocate of healthy eating, Pak AJI™ shares simple and quick “Campur, Campur, Siap!” menus  through the “Cooking is Fun” activity to promote healthy and delicious meals. The colourful and nutritious menus will attract both parents and kids to consume more vegetables when they are paired with protein-rich ingredients like chicken, meat or seafood, allowing them to obtain sufficient vitamins, minerals and fibers from their daily diet.

Ajinomoto Malaysia is also an advocate of active living, believing that sufficient physical workouts will help with blood circulation and overall individual health. Recently, the company has launched its apple-flavoured jelly drink enriched with amino acids called the aminoVITAL®, which is the number 1 brand in Japan. As the world’s leading producer of amino acids, this product has been trusted and relied on by many athletes for over a decade. Participants are encouraged to join more games via the Ajinomoto virtual booth activities to win attractive prizes. The more games they play, the higher their chance of winning the Ajinomoto Lucky Draw Grand Prize, where 3 lucky winners will receive RM1,000 in cash each!
