Happy in Laughter (Special Flavoured Prawns)

A taste from the sea in a whole new sensation? Try this out, some prawns that offer scrumptious flavour and a big smile on everyone’s face on the dining table. AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper, TUMIX® Chicken Stock Seasoning, and AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Pepper are the secret within.


300 g Prawns
2 – 3 tbsp Corn flour
A few dashes of AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper
1 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Oats
2 nos Salted egg yolk (Steamed till cooked and mashed)
1 stalk Curry leaves
3 Bird’s eye chillies, diced
Seasonings (A)
1 tbsp TUMIX® Chicken Stock Seasoning
2 tbsp Castor sugar
¼ tsp AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Pepper
  1. Trim prawn feelers and legs neatly.
  2. Sprinkle some corn flour over the prawns and add a dash of AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper over.
  3. Deep-fry prawns until golden. Dish out.
  4. Heat butter and oil in wok, once oil is hot add in curry leaves, bird’s eye chillies, oats and salted egg yolks. Fry briefly to combine.
  5. Add in seasonings (A) followed by prawns. Toss and fry briefly until aromatic.
