Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad recognises our responsibility to ensure our products are made and packed with sustainable raw materials, produced with the utmost care and consideration for our customers. As such, we uphold the highest standards at every stage of our supply chain management in Malaysia, aligning ourselves with Ajinomoto Group’s aim of achieving 100% sustainable procurement.
Our approach integrates procurement management practices that focus on ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility, while also supporting strong foundations in operation management to ensure process efficiency.
We partner with suppliers who share our values, facilitate practices that minimise environmental impact, promote ethical sourcing and prioritise the well-being of workers throughout the value chain. We uphold stringent quality standards for outsourcing, outlined in our supplier terms and conditions.
In addition, warehouse management and inventory control are continuously monitored to enhance resource efficiency and reduce waste, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement. This includes optimising logistics management processes to improve sustainability outcomes.
Responsible Supplier Management
We are committed to stringent quality standards for the outsourcing of our goods and services according to our terms and conditions for the appointment of materials suppliers. Our suppliers adhere to the Group’s Shared Policy for Suppliers, via Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad’s Purchasing Policy to maintain non-violations in the yearly supplier evaluation.
The annual performance evaluation for our main suppliers also includes sustainability-related metrics. 100% of new suppliers will undergo a new supplier development assessment, including those for both raw materials and packaging materials.
We continuously engage with working professionals across the logistics and supply chain industry to ensure our practices remain current, responsible, and aligned with global standards.
