Ajinomoto Co., Continues to be a Sponsor of the Highest Rank for the 30th SEA Games in Philippines

KUALA LUMPUR, 6th March 2019 - Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (“Ajinomoto Co.”) signed an agreement today to serve as an official sponsor of the 30th Southeast Asian Games (“SEA Games”) in Philippines after being the platinum sponsor of the 29th SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur two years ago.

This year, Ajinomoto Co. continues to support ASEAN sports activities, serving as a sponsor of the highest rank for the 30th SEA Games hosted in Philippines from November to December 2019.

The SEA Games are held every two years to help forge strong regional cooperation, understanding and unity within the Southeast Asian community. They are the largest sporting event held in Southeast Asia, attracting the attention of more than 600 million people in the region. 

Since 2003, the Ajinomoto Group has been working on the Victory Project®1, to support toplevel athletes in Japan through nutritional support, the Ajinomoto Group’s products and nutritious dietary program promotion. The Ajinomoto Group plans to expand this initiative into other ASEAN countries through the ASEAN Victory Project®, which involves Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad.

After more than a century, the Ajinomoto Group continues with the efforts to promote healthy living through products innovation and diversification. For example, amino VITAL®, a branched-chain amino acids product is effective in the recovery of muscle fatigue and soreness, as well as promoting muscle protein synthesis especially useful for athletes and those involve in sports activities.
