Ajinomoto Company Supports MSDEAF in Fundraising Match
KUALA LUMPUR, 17th December 2021 – Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad (AMB) is committed to making contributions to the health and well-being of the community in sports through The Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV) initiatives.
In demonstrating these efforts, AMB seized the opportunity to be one of the main sponsors of the “Malaysia-Japan All-Stars Football Charity Match”, a charity football match between the Malaysia-Japan All-Stars and the Malaysia Deaf Tigers held on 11 December 2021 at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium. The event was launched by the Minister of Youth & Sports, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
The charity match, organised by Yakult Malaysia, aimed to raise funds for the Malaysian Sports Association for the Deaf (MSDEAF) and for the development of Malaysia Deaf Tigers’ football players in preparation for both domestic and international tournaments.
There were 18,000 spectators viewing in the stadium as well as live stream to enliven the charity match. Aside from that, this charity match has successfully achieved the fundraising target of RM300,000.
The Ajinomoto Group’s expertise in food and amino science has also allowed AMB to support the All-Stars and Deaf Tigers football players through the introduction of aminoVITAL® sports jelly drink, the No. 1 Brand in Japan in boosting their sports performance.
