Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad Further Expands Sports Nutrition Awareness Project to Sabah Malaysian Sports School

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 September 2023 - Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad (AMB) has further expanded its Sports Nutrition Awareness Project to the Sabah Malaysian Sports School (SSMS) this year as part of the Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV) initiative to promote health and well-being of student athletes in achieving “VICTORY”. The project has recently launched and was officiated by Mr Ezaiddin Hussain, Deputy Director of the Student Development & School Management Sector, Sports, Co-curricular and Arts Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia, together with Mr. Riichiro Osawa, AMB’s Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director. In 2019, the project was initiated with the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) and later expanded to the Malaysia Pahang Sports School (SSMP) in 2022 through unwavering support from the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE). Throughout the project expansion to SSMS, we have accumulated more than 1050 student athletes from BJSS, SSMP, and SSMS who were educated on sports nutrition through educational talks, Winning Meals Kachimeshi® serving, posters, and the information corner set up by AMB. It is hoped that through this collaboration between the MOE, national sports schools and AMB, the Project will continue to benefit more student athletes through balanced diets and a healthier dietary intake. AMB will continue to support and contribute to the betterment of Malaysian sportsmanship in achieving VICTORY by encouraging young athletes to “Eat Well, Live Well” with Ajinomoto.
