aminoVITAL® Elevates 3,600 Cyclists' Performance at L'Étape Malaysia by Tour de France

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 JULY 2023 - Ajinomoto (M) Berhad (AMB) served as the Co-sponsor of L'Étape Malaysia by Tour de France, held from 8th to 9th July 2023 at Desaru Coast, Johor. The event witnessed the participation of 3,600 cyclists from 47 countries. 

This marks the second year of AMB's involvement, and it was the first time that seven AMB employees participated as aminoVITAL® ambassadors, further emphasising the brand's commitment.

This strategic sponsorship highlights AMB's dedication to The Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV) by promoting the health and well-being of active individuals. L’Étape by Tour de France is the only cyclosportive series that provides amateur cyclists with the opportunity to truly experience the Tour de France all over the world.

The event prominently featured aminoVITAL®, an apple-flavoured jelly drink specially formulated with a potent 3000mg of essential amino acids, primarily consisting of Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA). BCAAs are suitable for sports endurance, improve exercise performance, strengthen muscle endurance, aid in muscle recovery, and reduce muscle fatigue. Hence, it can empower cyclists to optimise their performance during the event.

Throughout the cycling event, cyclists were provided with aminoVITAL® at the water stations, giving them a boost of energy and allowing them to experience the benefits of BCAAs. Additionally, aminoVITAL® set up a dedicated booth with interactive activities to enhance the cyclists' knowledge of sports nutrition information, further supporting their overall performance and well-being. aminoVITAL® also conducted a promotion during the event, offering cyclists the opportunity to purchase the product at a special price, including some freebies.

Through this ASV initiative, AMB aims to support active individuals in their journey towards better recovery through "Healthy Eating, Active Living" by elevating the performance of cyclists with aminoVITAL® and providing educational opportunities to enhance their sports nutrition information.
