Roasted Beef with Tamarind Water
Roasted beef with tamarind water is a local famous dish and it can be cooked in various styles. The dish is very easy and quick to prepare. It is very good to serve this juicy yet nutritious dish with white rice.

|600 g||Beef meat|
|1 tsp||Coriander powder|
|1 tsp||Fennel powder|
|1 tsp||Cumin powder|
|8 pcs||Bird eyes chili, sliced|
|1 pc||Onion, diced|
|1 pc||Tomato, diced|
Ingredients B: tamarind water
|6 g||Shrimp paste, baked|
|1 ½ tbsp||Coconut paste|
|90 g||Tamarind paste, seedless|
|2 ½ tsp||Sugar|
|1 ½ cup||Water|
- Dry rub the beef meat with coriander, cumin and fennel powder.
- Roast it in an oven at 180°C for 40 minutes. Let it cool aside before cutting it into thick slices.
- In a blender, blend all ingredients (B), transfer to a bowl and mix with the bird eyes chili, calamansi juice, onion and tomato.
- Serve it together with sliced roasted beef.
